Investing - Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC added 0.28% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV, which rose 3.68% or 6.38 points to trade at 179.66 at the close. Meanwhile, Industrias Penoles Sab De CV added 2.29% or 16.54 points to end at 737.62 and Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV was up 1.93% or 0.29 points to 15.33 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Televisa SAB Unit, which fell 4.28% or 0.47 points to trade at 10.51 at the close. Becle SA declined 2.87% or 0.61 points to end at 20.62 and Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. was down 2.79% or 3.68 points to 128.15.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 118 to 113 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Industrias Penoles Sab De CV rose to all time highs; up 2.29% or 16.54 to 737.62.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.66% or 23.97 to $3,677.27 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.92% or 0.57 to hit $62.44 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.02% or 0.01 to trade at $66.22 a barrel.
USD/MXN was unchanged 0.01% to 18.66, while EUR/MXN unchanged 0.02% to 21.95.
