Lagos, Nov 4, 2025 (AFP)
Nigeria's state intelligence agency on Tuesday said it had sacked 115 of its staff over the past several months.
It is the second large security shake-up announced in Africa's most populous country in as many weeks.
"As part of the ongoing reforms in the Department of State Services (DSS), the public is hereby informed that a total of 115 personnel have been dismissed over a period," it said in a statement.
It did not state the period but published names and mugshots of the fired individuals, including dates of dismissal on its website, which showed some of the sackings date back to April.
The dismissals follow a reshuffle of the top military brass by President Bola Tinubu last month amid media reports of a coup plot.
The government and the military have officially denied reports that at least 16 officers were arrested over an alleged coup plot, saying they had been arrested over disciplinary issues.
