China Stocks Slip as Key Data Eyed

The Shanghai Composite slipped 0.07% to close at 4,000, while the Shenzhen Component fell 0.36% to 13,241 on Wednesday, extending declines from the previous session as investors awaited a series of key Chinese data releases for insights into the economy's health.
October credit data is due later today, followed by retail sales, industrial production, and fixed asset investment figures on Friday.
Major decliners included Sungrow Power (-2.8%), Longi Green Energy (-3.4%), and TBEA Co (-3.4%).
In corporate news, Foxconn Industrial gained 0.8% after the world's largest contract electronics maker reported a 17% year-on-year profit increase for the third quarter.
Shenzhen Mindray also edged higher after submitting a listing application to the Hong Kong stock exchange, while JD.com said orders jumped nearly 60% during this year's Singles' Day event.
