Russia Stocks Higher at Close of Trade; MOEX Index Up 0.13%

Investing - Russia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining, Manufacturing and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index gained 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were Polyus PJSC , which rose 3.68% or 78.40 points to trade at 2,209.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Moskovskaya Birzha PJSC added 0.86% or 1.44 points to end at 169.74 and MMC NORILSK NICKEL PJSC was up 0.49% or 0.60 points to 132.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank PAO, which fell 4.42% or 0.35 points to trade at 7.55 at the close. OK Rusal MKPAO declined 3.04% or 1.31 points to end at 41.80 and TATNEFT na VD Shashin Pref was down 1.92% or 10.80 points to 551.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 124 to 116 and 9 ended unchanged.
The Russian Volatility Index - RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was up 8.28% to 22.37.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 2.04% or 97.10 to $4,864.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 7.08% or 7.01 to hit $92.07 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.05% or 0.05 to trade at $95.08 a barrel.
USD/RUB was unchanged 0.00% to 75.86, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 88.90.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 97.89. (AI)
