Monday, July 27, 2026       09:45 WIB

The Shanghai Composite fell 0.4% to 3,799 on Monday, while the Shenzhen Component rose 0.5% to 13,839, as the market debut of memory-chip maker CXMT is expected to test investor appetite for semiconductor firms after a recent AI-driven selloff triggered sharp volatility across the tech sector.
CXMT , Asia's largest IPO this year, raised CNY 57.92 billion ($8.6 billion) by selling shares at CNY 8.66 each.
The deal could increase to CNY 66.61 billion if the over-allotment option is fully exercised.
At the IPO price, the chipmaker was valued at about CNY 579 billion ($85.5 billion).
On the domestic front, China's industrial profits rose 18.7% year-on-year to CNY 3.95 trillion in the first half of 2026, slightly easing from the 18.8% growth recorded in January-May.
Attention now shifts to the Politburo meeting for potential policy support.
Notable decliners included PetroChina (-4.7%), CNOOC (-4.3%), Zhongji Innolight (-2.4%), Eoptolink Technology (-2.1%), and NAURA Technology (-2.2%).
