Hang Seng Ends Slightly Higher After Early Dip

Trading Economics - The Hang Seng rose 45 points, or 0.2%, to close at 26,630 on Thursday, reversing morning weakness and notching a second straight session of gains.
Most sectors advanced in line with mainland markets, with property stocks jumping 1.6% after the troubled developer China Vanke secured bondholder approval to delay repayment of a major onshore bond, a key step in easing liquidity pressures and avoiding default.
In the U.S., stock futures moved slightly higher after Wall Street rallied on Wednesday as President Trump backed away from tariff threats to acquire Greenland, mitigating worries over trade tensions with some European countries.
Among notable movers in the city's market were Pop Mart Intl. (6.1%), Li Auto (3.6%), Laopu Gold (3.0%), and Chow Tai Fook (2.6%).
Traders now await Hong Kong's December inflation data later today, following subdued November readings, while Q1 business sentiment figures are due Friday after hitting a five-quarter high in Q2.
