15th July 2026 - (Hong Kong) Hong Kong equities began Wednesday's trading session on a firmer footing, with the Hang Seng Index rising 210 points, or 0.87 per cent, to 24,551 at the open. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index gained 49 points, or 0.61 per cent, to 8,152, while the Hang Seng Tech Index advanced 36 points, or 0.78 per cent, to 4,716.
Technology heavyweights supported the early gains. Tencent climbed 2.4 per cent and Alibaba added 0.7 per cent. Chinese artificial intelligence start-up Z.ai (2513) outperformed the broader market, surging 6.2 per cent in early trading.
