12th June 2026 - (Hong Kong) The Hang Seng Index opened 252 points, or 1.04%, higher at 24,501 on 12th June, snapping a seven-day losing streak. The China Enterprises Index added 60 points, or 0.74%, to 8,278, while the Tech Index rose 57 points, or 1.23%, to 4,713. Jeweller Chow Tai Fook jumped 5.2% following its results.
Gains were broad-based across major tech names: Tencent +1.9%, Alibaba +1.4%, Xiaomi +0.8%, JD.com +0.8% and Kuaishou +1.1%, while Meituan was flat.
Financials advanced, with HSBC +1.7%, AIA +2.3%, Ping An +0.4% and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing +1.3%.
