2nd June 2026 - (Hong Kong) Hong Kong equities opened little changed on Tuesday, with the Hang Seng Index slipping three points to 25,395 in early trade. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index added three points, or 0.04 per cent, to 8,511, while the Hang Seng Tech Index rose 30 points, or 0.62 per cent, to 4,995.
Technology counters were broadly firmer. Alibaba gained 1 per cent and JD.com advanced 1.2 per cent. Meituan climbed 1.3 per cent following its latest results, while Tencent edged up 0.4 per cent and Xiaomi added 0.2 per cent. Kuaishou traded flat.
Financial stocks showed mixed performance. HSBC slipped 1 per cent and AIA fell 1.3 per cent. In contrast, Ping An Insurance rose 0.5 per cent and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing gained 0.4 per cent.
