Hong Kong Stocks Fall on Higher Bond Yields, Oil Prices; SHEIN Close Marginally Lower on Debut

(MT Newswires) -- Hong Kong stocks closed lower Tuesday as rising global bond yields and oil prices kept investors cautious amid renewed Middle East tensions.
The Hang Seng Index fell 237.26 points, or 0.9%, to close at 25,329.73, while the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index dropped 50.54 points, or 0.6%, to 8,462.64.
Global bond yields hit multi-year highs as oil above $91 a barrel stoked inflation and rate concerns amid escalating U.S.-Iran tensions.
In corporate news, SHEIN Globalended 0.1% lower at HK$48.50 after debuting at its HK$48.56 offer price, while Mech-Mind Roboticsclosed 1.9% lower at HK$99.80 on debut, versus its HK$101.70 offer price.
Elsewhere, NIO delivered 35,836 vehicles in August, up 14.5% from a year earlier, according to a Tuesday Hong Kong bourse filing. Shares closed over 6% lower.
