The situation in chaos-wracked Haiti is "cataclysmic", with more than 1,500 people killed by gang violence so far this year, the UN said Thursday, decrying that weapons were still pouring into the country.
"It is shocking that despite the horrific situation on the ground, arms keep still pouring in. I appeal for a more effective implementation of the arms embargo," United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk said in a statement.
